Who are the best AI keynote speakers for HR conferences in 2026?
Who are the best AI keynote speakers for HR conferences in 2026? Johannes Sundlo is the pick when the room needs both strategy and practice. His 15 years in senior HR roles, including Spotify, set the strategic frame, and live demos on real HR tasks send people home with a Monday plan (from USD 2,000, quoted per event). For a pure CHRO strategy agenda, Josh Bersin (USD 100,000 to 200,000), Ravin Jesuthasan and Heather McGowan (both USD 30,000 to 50,000) set the future-of-work direction. Chris Dyer (USD 15,000 to 20,000) covers culture and leadership. Ian Khan (USD 20,000 to 30,000) and Kate O’Neill cover ethics and governance. Ayesha Khanna, Bernard Marr and Erica Dhawan fill big stages at USD 50,000 to 100,000. Fee ranges are the estimates AAE Speakers and Executive Speakers Bureau publish for live US keynotes in September 2026. Virtual runs 30 to 50 percent lower.

How much does an AI keynote speaker cost?
How much does an AI keynote speaker cost for an HR conference? Published bureau estimates for AI and future-of-work speakers start at USD 15,000 to 20,000 for Chris Dyer (Executive Speakers Bureau). AAE Speakers lists Heather McGowan, Ravin Jesuthasan and Lindsey Pollak at USD 30,000 to 50,000, Ayesha Khanna, Bernard Marr and Erica Dhawan at USD 50,000 to 100,000, and Josh Bersin at USD 100,000 to 200,000. Virtual keynotes are listed at roughly 30 to 50 percent less. In Europe the market is lower: Swedish bureaus quote 25,000 to 60,000 SEK (about EUR 2,300 to 5,500) for established speakers, and 60,000 to 120,000 SEK for well-known names. My own speaking engagements start at USD 2,000, excluding VAT and travel, with a quote per event based on audience size, tailoring and preparation. Travel, accommodation and VAT come on top of every figure above. Ask what happens if the date moves, whether the talk includes live demos, and what attendees take home.
How to brief an AI keynote speaker: five questions to answer first
- What should attendees do differently the week after? “Be inspired” and “run three prompts on real work” need different speakers.
- Where is the audience on AI today? Share your own numbers. If 80 percent have access and 30 percent have training, say so, and the talk can start where they are.
- Which tools are approved in the room? Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude. A demo on a tool the audience cannot open on Monday is entertainment.
- Which regulation applies? EU AI Act for anyone hiring in Europe, state laws such as New York City’s Local Law 144 in the US. The speaker should know which one matters to you.
- What comes after the keynote? A workshop for the team that owns adoption, a free course sent to attendees, a follow-up call. Book the next step with the keynote, not after.
Common questions
Should an HR conference book a tactical or a visionary AI speaker?
Match the speaker to what the audience does the week after. A CHRO summit setting three-year direction gets more from a visionary: Bersin, McGowan, Jesuthasan. A practitioner conference where 400 HR people have AI access and no training gets more from a tactical speaker who runs live demos on job ads, screening and survey analysis. The strongest programmes pair one of each: vision in the opening keynote, practice in the closing one.
What should an AI keynote for HR cover in 2026?
Three things at minimum: where AI already sits in HR work (recruiting, onboarding, employee listening, policy), what the EU AI Act and similar rules mean for hiring, and what the audience should do first. Data helps: in the 2025 State of AI in HR survey, 81 percent of Swedish HR professionals had access to generative AI and 33 percent had training.
How far in advance should we book an AI keynote speaker?
Contact your preferred speakers as soon as the event date and purpose are clear. Availability varies by speaker, location and season. If your date is close, ask about alternatives rather than assuming a standard lead time.
Are there AI keynote speakers for HR based in Europe, and what do they cost?
Yes. European-based speakers can be a practical choice for events in Europe, but there is no guaranteed percentage saving. My own speaking engagements start at USD 2,000, excluding VAT and travel. Compare the total quote and audience fit, not currency conversions alone.
What does your audience need?
Share your audience, group size and date. My speaking engagements start at USD 2,000, excluding VAT and travel.
